Microsoft recently released updated beta editions of Windows 11 for participants in the Windows Insider Program.

A prominent addition in Build 26220.8148 from the Beta Channel and Build 26300.8155 from the Dev Channel involves native haptic feedback integration for suitable input peripherals, providing gentle vibrations during tasks such as positioning elements in PowerPoint, snapping windows, adjusting their size, or positioning the cursor over the Close option.

Users can customize or turn off these vibration notifications through the Settings menu at Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Haptic signals. Participants in the Insider Program are encouraged by Microsoft to share their thoughts on this capability via the Feedback Hub in the section for Input and Language > Mouse.

In addition to this preview, the update incorporates enhancements such as a refined initial setup process featuring the updated Xbox interface and optimizations for quicker loading of applications at boot.

The complete rollout of these changes is scheduled for sometime this spring.
