Spotify has introduced an update designed to enhance song flow in playlists. Subscribers to the Premium tier can now have their playlists automatically reorganized according to beats per minute, or tempo, and musical key, resulting in more seamless track connections.
Premium account holders can enable this option by opening a playlist, navigating to the Mix menu, then choosing Edit followed by Smart Reorder; the platform will then process and arrange the tracks instantly. A simple save action makes the adjustment permanent.
This addition expands upon the personalized transition tool released in the previous year, aiming to help users create immersive, professional DJ-style sessions. Spotify reports that listeners have collectively enjoyed more than 220 hours of these reorganized playlists.
