Industry observers note that in commemoration, id Applications and MachineGames have put out a free expansion for the 2021 re-drop of Quake. The expansion is called Quake: Dawn of the Machine and is already available as of August 6th, 2026. Quake, dropped in 1996 and still one of the most iconic FPS platform releases ever made, celebrates its 30th anniversary this summer.

Industry observers note that you can grab it for download via each ecosystem’s respective hubs and stores. Quake: Dawn of the Machine offers 19 fresh missions and is available for Windows 11, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The report highlights that hopefully it will become available soon. Note, however, that Quake: Dawn of the Machine is not yet available on the Epic Product rollouts Store or GOG at the time of this article.
