Perplexity has recently introduced Perplexity Computer, an agentic AI system designed to function like a virtual assistant. This platform handles complex, multi-stage assignments by coordinating a team of specialized sub-agents that collaborate to develop and produce complete outcomes.

Among its capabilities, Perplexity Computer generates items such as data visualizations, software applications, slide decks, and various initiatives through task allocation to distinct sub-agents. It integrates multiple AI systems at once, utilizing Claude Opus for logical analysis, Gemini for information gathering, and additional models for generating visuals, multimedia content, and expedited operations.

In contrast to OpenClaw, Perplexity Computer operates solely within a secure cloud setup, minimizing potential impacts on users' personal computers and data stores. However, this approach imposes certain constraints relative to agentic AI solutions that execute on individual devices.

Access to Perplexity Computer remains exclusive to subscribers of the Perplexity Max subscription tier, priced at $200 per month.
