According to Windows Central, Microsoft has begun testing an extensive aesthetic refresh for its Edge web browser, aligning its look more closely with that of the Copilot application.

This redesign incorporates refreshed settings interfaces, revised shortcut menus, and an updated start page that adopts visual elements such as geometric forms, hues, and typography directly from Copilot. These modifications operate separately from any AI functionalities and take effect regardless of whether Copilot tools are active.

Microsoft's AI chief executive, Mustafa Suleyman, earlier expressed the firm's intention to evolve Edge by embedding AI capabilities into it, instead of launching an entirely separate AI-focused browser.

The updated interface is now observable in the Canary and Dev builds of Edge. No specific timeline has been announced for its rollout to the stable version. Illustrations of the changes are available via Windows Central.
