Starting July 1, 2026, businesses and organizations will face higher costs for Microsoft's Office productivity tools.

The extent of the price rise varies by edition, with CNBC reporting potential jumps as high as 33%.

In a company blog post, Microsoft 365 executive Nicole Herskowitz noted, 'Over the past year, we’ve released more than 1,100 features in Microsoft 365, Security, Copilot, and Sharepoint. The new features have added value to the packages.'

Essentially, Microsoft attributes the upcoming adjustment to enhancements like its prominent AI assistant, Copilot.

The company last adjusted rates for its enterprise Office offerings in 2022. Earlier this year, in 2025, Microsoft significantly increased fees for personal Microsoft 365 subscriptions, pointing to AI integrations as the reason—following a similar move by Google for its Workspace services.
