Users often need to compose an email immediately but arrange for its arrival at a designated future moment, such as beyond typical work times. The traditional and updated editions of Outlook both support postponing message dispatch to a chosen schedule. Follow these steps to achieve that:

For the traditional Outlook interface, start by choosing 'New Email' from the 'Home' tab, input the addressee and topic line, and compose the content normally. Then, move to the 'Options' tab and select 'Delay Delivery' located under the 'More Options' area. In the pop-up dialog, ensure the 'Do not deliver before' choice is enabled within 'Delivery options.' Specify the preferred date and hour, then press 'Close' to save the configuration.

In the updated Outlook, begin with 'New Email' and opt for 'Open in new window' via the upper-right icon depicting a square accompanied by an upward-pointing arrow. Draft your email, followed by navigating to the 'Options' tab. Proceed by selecting the rightward arrow symbol in the toolbar, positioned as the third option from the start. As another route, use the dropdown beside the 'Send' control and pick 'Schedule Send.'

The resulting 'Schedule Send' panel features preset slots like 'Tomorrow' and one for the upcoming week, each timed at 8 a.m. For a personalized slot, choose 'Custom Time' to pick your date and hour. Finalize by selecting the target date and hitting 'Send' to proceed.
