A recent update to Windows 11 introduces a convenient tool for shrinking image files prior to sending them via integrated sharing features. Begin by right-clicking the target image and selecting 'Share with' followed by 'Using more options.'

The resulting dialog box features a compact dropdown just under the file's name, initially set to 'Original.' Tapping the adjacent arrow reveals options for 'Low,' 'Medium,' or 'High' compression. Choosing any of these updates the preview in File Explorer to reflect the adjusted file size as it's forwarded to the chosen app.

Windows 11's File Explorer now includes this enhanced capability in its sharing interface, enabling users to downsize images on the fly before transferring them to external programs.
