Microsoft recently published an analysis outlining the various ways users engaged with its AI tool Copilot during 2025. Derived from 37.5 million anonymized user interactions, the report highlights applications extending beyond work efficiency to include fitness concerns, interpersonal dynamics, and tailored recommendations.
On smartphones, health-related inquiries stood out, as people sought Copilot's input nonstop for advice on workouts, daily schedules, and general health maintenance. In August, patterns emerged showing weekday focus on development coding, contrasted with leisure activities over the weekend.
February brought a notable rise in exchanges about romantic bonds and self-growth, especially as Valentine's Day approached. The metrics reveal heightened nighttime engagement with topics like spirituality and philosophical ideas, while itinerary organization for journeys mostly happened in daytime.
A key observation is the growing reliance on Copilot for counsel instead of basic information. It serves more often now as a sounding board for navigating personal choices and sentiments, evolving past its function as a straightforward reference source.
The firm intends to apply these findings toward refining Copilot's features.
