Adobe recently announced a range of AI-driven enhancements for its Premiere Pro and After Effects applications, which focus on video editing and visual effects, as covered by Engadget.
A standout addition in Premiere Pro is the AI-assisted Object Mask feature, enabling users to swiftly identify and follow individuals or items within dynamic video clips. Users can simply hover the cursor over the target and click to generate an automated mask within seconds, with options for further manual refinements if needed.
According to Adobe, the entire computation occurs on the user's local machine, ensuring that the content isn't leveraged for developing the firm's AI systems. Additionally, the program's current masking functionality has received a significant speed upgrade, allowing object tracking at up to 20 times the previous rate.
User processes are set to become more streamlined thanks to improved integration with Adobe's AI-supported Firefly Boards, and Adobe Stock assets are now seamlessly accessible directly within Premiere Pro. Meanwhile, After Effects gains upgrades that bolster graphic design and three-dimensional modeling capabilities, such as the ability to bring in SVG files and introduce novel parametric 3D mesh elements.
