Acer unveiled several updated gaming laptops during its CES presentation in Las Vegas this year. The emphasis was on increased performance capabilities and reduced thickness, offering options tailored to different gaming preferences.
The standout model is the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, equipped with Intel's latest Core Ultra Series 9 386H processor, NVIDIA RTX 50-series GPUs reaching the 5070 variant, and a 2560×1600 resolution OLED screen for enhanced visual depth in gameplay. It supports configurations of up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. Measuring just 18.9 mm in thickness, it remains remarkably compact considering its substantial processing power.
Acer also highlighted the Nitro series, including the Nitro V 16 and the even slimmer Nitro V 16S AI at under 17.9 mm, suited for portable gaming needs. These models feature Intel Core Ultra 7 CPUs, RTX graphics cards, high-refresh-rate displays, and effective thermal management, while prioritizing affordability and reduced weight.
Every model in the lineup is compatible with Windows 11's Copilot+ functionalities, along with Acer's proprietary AI suite. The Acer Intelligence Space provides various AI-driven utilities to support tasks in gaming and work applications, though their practical impact may vary by user.
These devices are scheduled for release during 2026, with pricing details not yet announced.
